Tailored Training
SAMYN5 Consult has worked with organizations from all sectors to build capacity of their staff to be able to partner effectively. We can offer a range of other training courses mentioned above to suit the needs of a particular organization or firm; we also work closely with organizations to develop a program which will be highly effective and applicable to the context in which the participants are working in.
Developing tailored training
All SAMYN5 courses can be tailored for the
specific needs of an organization or new courses can be developed for organizations
based on established and tested tools and theory. Typically, a tailored course
would be developed in close consultation with an organization over two stages:

Scoping
and needs assessment
·
Workshop
design and material development
During the scoping and needs assessment stage, SAMYN5 will research and review an organization’s (and collaborator’s if applicable) current partnering activity, partnering objectives, challenges faced and specific skills needs. This will be conducted in consultation with key personnel through interviews and the analysis of available materials. The findings will enable the project team to design a training course most appropriate to the needs of the participants and the organization’s partnering objectives.
Back then, twenty + years back, there weren't, neither a spacious room nor as such, the luxury of technological tools we could easily access today in the training room to aid our training courses. Except the face-to-face interactions, chalk & blackboard, role plays, pair and group work, individual presentations, and the tailored materials we produce for each group of trainees, we didn't use to employ the white board, flip chart, power point presentations, computers, software, games, etc. and many more for each soft skills training.
However, almost all our trainees (an average of 4.8 out of 5 points were our scores) found all our soft skill trainings very effective with regards to scaling up their skills as per their needs. Looking back now, in fact, the very core of soft skill trainings has always been the authentic human to human interaction and all the accompanying non-electronic aids we used to employ. That's why these very small number of trainees who have just believed our professional expertise and joined our small firm have recommended for many. Later, we were able to train workers as well as provide additional services, such as, writing project proposals, conducting organizational assessments, etc. for many international and local NGOs, government organizations, private firms, in various industries and capacities.
